Aamna Arshad

MASc Student

Aamna graduated with her B.Eng. in 2017 with a focus on Structural Engineering. As an undergraduate, she joined the seismic design team in its first year and competed in the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) Seismic Design Competition shortly afterwards, which sparked her interest in Earthquake Engineering. Aamna is currently a first-year MASc student in the Department of Civil Engineering at McMaster University within the NSERC CaNRisk-CREATE program. Her MASc research is related to the seismic analysis and design of nuclear infrastructure. She is a member of the EERI McMaster University Student Chapter, and Women in Nuclear Canada (WIN) Golden Horseshoe Chapter and Canadian Nuclear Society (CNS).

Research Focus Area:

Seismic Response of Sliding Functional Contents in Nuclear Facilities
