Joshua Hoekstra

MASc Student

Josh recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 2016. He has completed a 12-month internship with The Miller Group, where his responsibilities included estimating and assisting the project management. He is currently a first-year Master’s student in the department of Civil Engineering at McMaster University, and is a member of the CaNRisk-CREATE program. His research is in the area of seismic design of nuclear power plants, with a focus on incorporating vertical ground accelerations into isolation design for reactor components.
