Nuclear Waste Management

Dr. Shinya Nagasaki is the Tier I Canada Research Chair in Nuclear Fuel Cycle and Waste Management, Department of Engineering Physics, McMaster University.

He is an international expert in the physicochemical behaviour of fission products in radioactive waste disposal systems, the generation of colloids and migration of actinides in geosphere, the performance and safety assessment of radioactive waste disposal, and the safety of nuclear fuel cycle. He is widely published in the area of radioactive waste management and a recipient of the Achievement Award of the Nuclear Fuel Cycle Division, Atomic Energy Society-Japan.
