Mohamed El-Sefy

PhD Candidate

Mohamed’s career as a structural engineer extend to over four years in the area of reinforced concrete design and retrofit. He is currently a second-year PhD student in the department of Civil Engineering at McMaster University, where he is interested in simulating the complex interdependence of different systems in a nuclear power station in an effort to evaluate the station resilience under different forms of hazards. His current research revolves mostly around simulation of nuclear power plant and investigate the whole site probabilistic safety assessment.

Research Focus Area:

Resilience Simulation in Nuclear Power Generation Stations Under Seismic Systemic Risk
