Mohamed Salama

PhD Student

Mohamed graduated with a B.Eng. degree in 2013 with a focus on Civil Engineering. After graduation, he stated his academic career as a research and teaching assistant and also worked in parallel for more than 3 years in a consulting firm focused on steel structure design and analysis. He earned a M.A.Sc degree in 2017 with research focused on the behavior of cold-formed steel wall systems. He is currently a first-year PhD student in the Department of Civil Engineering at McMaster University within the NSERC CaNRisk-CREATE program. His PhD research focus is in the area of adaptive dynamic control for systemic risk mitigation in energy infrastructure
