Mostafa Naiem

PhD Candidate

Mostafa Naiem graduated in 2016 with a B.Sc. in Structural Engineering-Credit hours system from Cairo University as the first of his class, and his cohort’s valedictorian. During his undergraduate years he participated in numerous extracurricular activities, and was the License-holder, cofounder and President for the TEDx organization in his university.  Mostafa was appointed as a Teaching/Research assistant in Structural Engineering department, earning his M.Sc. in 2018 with a focus on Topology Optimization and steel structures design, while also gaining practical experience by working in the industry as a Structural Engineer and a Business development engineer. Mostafa joined McMaster University’s Ph.D. program in fall 2018, with a focus on climate induced flood hazards on critical cities’ infrastructure networks.
