Hany Michael is the Managing Director, Power for Hatch Ltd and is responsible for continuing Hatch’s reputation of technical excellence in renewable power (hydro, wind and solar), thermal power, nuclear power, and transmission and distribution through his leadership to Hatch’s global power team. Hatch is an employee‐owned, multidisciplinary professional services firm that delivers a comprehensive array of technical and strategic services, including consulting, information technology, engineering, process development, and project and construction management to the Mining, Metallurgical, Energy, and Infrastructure sectors. With over 11,000 people in over 65 offices around the world, the firm has more than $50 billion of client projects currently under management. Hany has over 25 years of experience in senior management, multi‐disciplinary project management, process and environmental engineering. He is known for program management and successfully taking projects from start through to completion by building strong collaborative teams. He is recognized for his demonstrated achievements in the areas of client relations, negotiations, strategy development, project execution, team building and organizational change. Hany serves as an Executive Director and Chair of the Finance Committee for the Canadian Nuclear Association. He is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario, Nuclear Industry Association (UK), the Institute of Corporate Directors and the Canadian Nuclear Society. Hany is a graduate of the University of Toronto where he received a Bachelor of Science, Chemistry and from the University of Calgary where he received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical & Petroleum Engineering. Post graduate, Hany completed a number of executive education programs including Leading Professional Services Program at Harvard Business School and the Directors Education Program at the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management.
